The costume doesn't even come with a mask, so this kit completes the outfit.The Green Bulb flashlight is O.K. It shines the Green Lantern emblem on the wall. It is just not very bright and does not work at a considerable distance. My son enjoyed the power ring the most because it had a light that glowed. The switch that activates the power ring does not work as well for smaller fingers, but my son learned to manange it. The mask, which you have to have in order to have a Green Lantern costume, was made of cheap foam material. It looked O.K. but was not very durable. It had elastic sewed onto the foam that went around the head and attached with velcro. The mask only lasted two days before the elastic pulled loose from the foam. Our attempted repairs didn't last very long. My son can no longer wear the mask. The costume is O.K. if you only expect it to last... The ring, however, is an incredible piece of junk. It doesn't light up at all, and is essentially a plastic case for the type of small battery that can seriously hurt or kill a child if swallowed (though the ring is well sealed and would have to be cracked open -- but I wouldn't put that possibility past my son). Since my son doesn't seem to mind if the ring lights up or not, I'm going to junk this one and buy a ring without a light. |
